Houses.Direct Poem

I was at the Ballard Market today, educating the North End about the future of real estate. The best part (besides the incredible people and dog watching)?

I had the pleasure of being located right next to the poets who regularly work the market. For a modest fee ($5-$20) one of they will gladly type out (manual style - classic!) a poem on a topic of your choice. Super cool.

Since we're expecting a little revenue, I decided to commission a poem for Houses.Direct. The day was glorious, I chatted with a bunch of folks, I handed out several flyers... the day deserved a poem.

Houses.Direct on a Glorious Early Spring Day

At the Ballard Farmer's Market, in Poetry

Things shared

               from hand to hand.

Communities are these.

Honed into homes

          where our beds are kept;

fences mended

     in the presence of friendship

bends like a rainbow

     no price, tho’ a pot of gold

secures so securely in family.

The worth in spending

time living life,

reflects in how you spend it.
